On this 90-minute walking tour you’ll experience what New York City is really about. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about the city from its very beginnings in the area that is now Wall Street up to the horrible events of September 11th.
Your guide will tell you about the early days in New York when it was a tiny colony below the wall, which later became known as Wall Street. During the walk you’ll pass the Federal Hall National Memorial, built as the United States Custom House on the same site where George Washington was inaugurated!
You’ll see the famous New York Stock Exchange, now recognized as one of the financial epicenters of the world’s markets.
Continue on to Battery Park, which originally was the site of a fort, then later an aquarium, and is now a national park. From this point you’ll have a spectacular close-up view of the world-famous Statue of Liberty.
To finish off the tour, your guide will escort you to the 9/11 Memorial, a permanent tribute to the thousands of citizens and first responders who lost their lives on that fateful day.
